The Bleeck battery was devised by Wilhelm Bleeck who had a business in Isles Lane Brisbane. By the time it was patented in the late 1920s, and the design had been proved, DC supplies had been designed using the AC mains supply.  The battery of two cells had a combined voltage of about 5.5 Volts. It is probable not many of Bleeck's batteries were sold.
